— Phil C. North, Hollins District Supervisor

Tammy Shepherd brings to the Roanoke County Board of Supervisors a valuable, conservative and time-tested business approach to the County and its citizens.  Her background and knowledge are  important additions to the Board with her unique and diverse perspective and experience in the real estate market and for the importance of small business to our community.

She is an effective leader working with the current Board to keep taxes low, return surpluses to our citizens, support public safety and invest in education.

I enthusiastically endorse her candidacy both in the Republican Primary on June 18, 2024 and the November 5, 2024 general election for the Vinton District Board of Supervisors.”

— Paul Mahoney, Roanoke County Board of Supervisors

Tammy Shepherd is a strong leader, enthusiastic sports fan, and dedicated supporter of and positive role model for young people in our community. In the eleven plus years that Tammy served as an officer in the William Byrd Football Boosters Club, ten of which as President, her astute business skills and creativity put the Club on solid financial ground. As the head football coach during her tenure, I witnessed the profound impact the Club, under her leadership, provided to the team. The Club funded extras, such as coaching clinics for the staff, charter buses, pregame meals, postgame refreshments, and a post season banquet, and for several years, the Club even provided cleats for the team as well.

As well as being a masterful fund raiser and organizer, Tammy often helped serve pregame meals, mentored athletes, gave players rides home, and faithfully attended multiple sporting events. If there were ever volunteers needed, Tammy was there, even years after her own children had graduated. Students always came first for this loyal, tireless leader.

It was and honor and privilege to work with Tammy Shepherd, whose hard work has forever enriched this community.”

— Jeff Highfill, former Head Football Coach, William Byrd High School

“I have known Tammy Shepherd for over 40 years as a trusted neighbor, as a valued office manager for my company, and later as a realtor for my company.  She then opened her own real estate company which has been very successful.  This experience has made Tammy value the importance of small businesses and she is very familiar with the needs of small business.  Tammy has also been a valuable member of the Roanoke County Board of Equalization using her real estate and business knowledge to help in that position.  She has volunteered much time in her community and is always ready to listen and work hard to respond to needs.  Tammy will work tirelessly for the people of Roanoke County.  This is why I am endorsing Tammy Shepherd for the Roanoke County Board of Supervisors.
